The Riskin Family

Chana was born in Rakov to Moshe Riskin and Miriam Chava nee Khait on October 5th, 1919.
She had older brothers Aharon, born in 1903, Avraham born in 1910 Leib born in 1915 and a sister Leah born in 1903. 
Her mother died before the war and her father remarried. In June of 1941, as soon as the Germans arrived in Rakov, they kileed her father with 100 other men
Later they killed her husband and little girl. Chana escaped to  ghetto Novogrodek and from ther she was taken to Dvorets. She was able to escape to the forests in December of 1942. She joined the underground and took part in activities against the Germans as a fighter. After the liberation she married a partisan by the name of Chaim  Vierzba. They came to Israel in 1949 with their children.
