BIOGRAPHY AND BIBLIOGRAPHY
On the eve of Rosh Hashana 1942, when the Germans slaughtered the Jews of the town, he and his family escaped to the Naroch Forests and there they joined the family partisan unit, Markov. In spite of the hunts the Germans carried out from time to time after the Jews in the forest, when many of those who had fled the town were murdered, he and his family managed to survive. Gershon immigrated to Israel in 1948, served in the IDF and fought in all Israel's wars. Was released from the IDF in 1952 with the rank of captain.
