I was looking for information on my Great Great Grandparents (Israel and Fedriza Barmatz) and stumbled on this:
I am researching my Mother's family who lived in Brest Litovsk. The surname of the family is BARMATZ (also seen it spelt BARMAC).
 
My Mother's name is MIRIAM but it was written MIRL  and also MIREL in some places.
 
I have managed to find quite a number of the names of Grandparents and also cousins of my Mother's but every search I do I cannot find any mention of my Mother – her two sister's are mentioned and one brother but I know there were more brothers whose names are also  not mentioned.
 
I would be very happy to know more about my Mother who was born about 1912 (no definite date is known) – her parents names are VOLF AND ESTHER.
 
If you require any further information I will gladly forward it to you.

I’ve attached photographs of my great grandparents Samuel (Shalom) Barmatz and his wife, Gussie (Gertrude?) They were from Brest-Litovisk (around 1841 is as far back as I can to) Fannie Barmatz is my Paternal Grandmother.
