#ivie_p2-46: RABBI AHARON Bakst was born in Ivie in 1867. He studied in Volozhin and Slobodka. As rabbi of Shaduva he established a Yeshiva there. In exile in Russia during World War I, he served as a rabbi in several communities. After the war he returned to Lithuania, being rabbi of Suvalkan and later Lomza. After encountering some problems with the Zionists, he left Lomza to serve in Shauliai. During the Soviet days ( 1940- 1941) he kept teaching and many would come to hear is sermons. He was amongst the first to be killed, as soon as the Germans entered Siauliai in 1941. |

#ivie_p2-51: Kivelevich Kivelevitz Tzilia Kivelevich nee Rabinovitz was born in Poland in 1892 to Aleksandr. She was married to Lev. Prior to WWII she lived in Iwje, Poland.
